Wedding Rings 2
Baptisms, Thanksgiving & Confirmation

We would love to be part of these significant life events. We welcome children and adults of any age who live in the parish to be baptised. Baptisms are currently held on the fourth Sunday each month at 9.45am. There is also an option for parents to give thanks for their child before God in a thanksgiving service. We would be pleased to explain the difference and help you to choose which would be most appropriate. Confirmation is for those who wish to confirm the promises made by their parents or themselves at baptism. Please get in touch if you would like to know more about any of these services.

Weddings

We would love to help you celebrate the start of your married life together, by recognising your union to one another in the presence of God. The current Church of England criteria requires that you live in the parish of

St Mary's Shirehampton or have a significant connection with the church, such as close family members having been married here or you have regularly attended for worship here. If you're not sure please highlight on the form below. Further information can be found at www.churchofengland.org/life-events/weddings. Please click on the button below and we will be happy to discuss your special day in more detail.

Baby Baptism Ceremony
Funerals

if you have recently been bereaved and would like to give thanks for your loved one's life, St Mary's is available for funeral services. Please liaise with the church office or local Funeral Director for more information. One of our clergy can be available to take the funeral service for you here or at a local crematorium or cemetery. If you would like your loved one's remains to be interred in one of our Gardens of Remembrance, we can also arrange that for you. A Book of Remembrance is available in our Memorial Chapel if you would like to have the name of your loved one inscribed. Flowers can be placed and candles can be lit in the chapel for prayers and quiet reflection when the church is open.
